Teaching and living abroad had many rewards and many challenges. It was a lot of fun adventures and new experiences and it was also exhausting days filled with cultural differences, long commutes, frustrating bureaucracy and huge waves of overwhelm and loneliness. But the rewards made it worth it in the end.

2 years ago, I was lucky and got to spend 2 weeks with the sweetest kids. My time volunteering in Tanzania both touched my heart and taught me a lot. It also made me re-evaluate the volunteer industry.
Reflecting on the last 3 Januarys since I have become a nomad. From Guatemala to Peru to Hong Kong, it has been an adventure filled with joy and challenges and awe and overwhelm and I wouldn’t change a single experience.
Lately, life in Hong Kong means exploring local neighborhoods and falling in love with the not so pretty spots.
Living in Hong Kong – my third flat in 3 months, a couple of my favorite unplanned day trips and 3 hikes.
