2 years ago, I was lucky and got to spend 2 weeks with the sweetest kids. My time volunteering in Tanzania both touched my heart and taught me a lot. It also made me re-evaluate the volunteer industry.
Two years ago, I spent 18 days in Arusha, Tanzania. I volunteered at a local school and went on the most amazing safari. Both were incredible experiences that I will never forget. Tanzania is both beautiful and heartbreaking. This post is about my wonderful safari experience.
Angkor Wat Archaeological Park is filled with over 70 major temples and ruins. It is massive and majestic, and filled with both incredible history and a little magic. If you are thinking of visiting Southeast Asia, I highly recommend adding Siem Reap and Angkor Wat to your ‘must visit’ list!
Reflecting on the last 3 Januarys since I have become a nomad. From Guatemala to Peru to Hong Kong, it has been an adventure filled with joy and challenges and awe and overwhelm and I wouldn’t change a single experience.
Recently, life in Hong Kong has been a lot of normal life. I got really sick, I got overwhelmed and I’m not always loving my job. But I also took a few ferries and a cable car, saw some giant buddhas and met a monk. So normal life with a lovely twist or two.
It’s been a year since I published my first blog post. Since then I have travelled through 3 countries in South America, made a quick trip to Greece, spent some time in Canada and moved to Hong Kong for a year. I have also looked back and reflected on my time in Kenya and doing to Camino de Santiago. To everyone who has subscribed to my little blog, thank you. I will continue to share my journey.
