The wonderful world of pet sitting
I am currently pet sitting in Scotland – 3 beautiful dogs in Scotland. What a dream!! I love Scotland… I think. Truthfully, I haven’t seen much of it yet. I do love these dogs....
Stories from a bumbling, mid-life solo traveler
I am currently pet sitting in Scotland – 3 beautiful dogs in Scotland. What a dream!! I love Scotland… I think. Truthfully, I haven’t seen much of it yet. I do love these dogs....
Hiking in the highlands of Sapa, Vietnam. A beautiful day full of valley views, rice fields, lessons and laughter, plus some unexpected water buffalo.
Two years ago, I spent 18 days in Arusha, Tanzania. I volunteered at a local school and went on the most amazing safari. Both were incredible experiences that I will never forget. Tanzania is both beautiful and heartbreaking. This post is about my wonderful safari experience.
Reflecting on the last 3 Januarys since I have become a nomad. From Guatemala to Peru to Hong Kong, it has been an adventure filled with joy and challenges and awe and overwhelm and I wouldn’t change a single experience.
Living in Hong Kong – my third flat in 3 months, a couple of my favorite unplanned day trips and 3 hikes.
Camino de Santiago – remembering all the good. Overcoming the physical challenges, making new friends and enjoying the solitude, all of the beautiful countryside and old churches. The Camino de Santiago will always be a favorite travel memory and a journey that taught me more than I expected.
I loved living in Cusco, Peru for 3 months. Discovering all of the local spots and going on big ‘tourist’ adventures – the best of both worlds. Well-dressed dogs, crowded buses, amazing street food and unusual business practices – I enjoyed it all.
Visiting Nairobi, Kenya and a childhood friend. An unexpected stop in London, and then giraffes, hikes, the beautiful Lake Naivasha and monkeys stealing mangos.
Finding joy in the journey to Moray, trying new things, meeting new friends in Pisac and trying so many types of new food, when Parker came to visit me in Peru.
A few days in the Sacred Valley, exploring with a local guide and taking time to really learn the history and meet local people. The ruins at Ollantaytambo and Moray are spectacular, and travelling by scooter was the most fun.
